Responsible for operation of refuse vehicle to service residential customers.  After my first year, I was promoted to a swing driver position where responsibilities also included training new drivers and operating a variety of routes in the absence of regular drivers.

Left this position due to promotion to route manager. Replaced my then supervisor, Ken Atencio, as he was promoted to a different position.

I left as I had guaranteed the owner 1 year after selling him my grain elevator and ended up spending too much time on the road and away from home for being a single parent and involved with the community.

I purchased one of the three stockholders shares in my third year, then the company purchased the remaining stockholders shares in year 7, leaving me the sole owner of the subchapter S corporation.  I then sold the business to Lanphier Inc. in June 2001.
